The next day Sherry was taken to the ER. Thereafter, Sherry received chiropractic and acupuncture care. MRIs revealed multiple protruding discs. A pain management MD recommended epidurals.
Defendant Mercury insurance claimed care was exaggerated. Mercury offered $12,500. Sherry demanded $35,000.
The jury believed that Sherry would suffer back pain for years so they awarded her $113,500. Mercury was also forced to pay all of Sherry’s court costs.
