Martha and Rachel were riding in a Hyundai when injured in a head-on collision. The defendant who caused the accident had limited insurance. Neither Martha nor Rachel had good under-insured motorist coverage. This could have been a “hardship” settlement.

Careful investigation revealed that Riverside County failed to correct a dangerous intersection where vision was limited at the top of an uphill curved grade. Nor was a shoulder available to prevent traffic from driving around a left turning vehicle.

Did you know that a patient who did not receive a copy of his retainer agreement with his lawyer --- has not really “hired” that lawyer? The lawyer must prove he gave a copy to his client.

So if you are suspicious about the pi lawyer ... Ask the patient to see the retainer agreement. If you see this language .... get him fired.
