The average PI jury verdict in California is $114,000. Juries are expensive and unpredictable. Many times, the cost of going to jury trial exceeds the final award.

But, that is different when compared to the median California TBI injury verdict. The average verdict was $1,595,000.

Juries are very sensitive to proven Traumatic Brain Damage cases. However, they don’t like exaggeration or lack solid proof. 

Keep in mind a concussion case has less value than that of a severe TBI case.

The key is diagnosis and care. 

One patient may suffer short term headaches and memory loss and loses a few days of work, while another patient may develop vastly different symptoms. Symptoms like noise and light sensitivity, dizziness, migraines can be long lasting, or even post-concussion which results in enduring pain for far longer.

The California Board of Chiropractic Examiners is receiving concerned calls from licensed chiropractors who believe their licenses are 'suspended' due to alleged drug charges.

One Los Angeles-based doctor recently received a fax with an image purportedly from the BCE, stating that her license had been suspended due to recent drug charges against her. Subsequently, the doctor received a call from an individual claiming to represent the BCE. This person informed the doctor that she could resolve the matter with a fine and have her license restored. Unfortunately, some doctors fell victim to this scheme.



It's important to note that no board in California can 'suspend' a license without providing proper notice and conducting a formal hearing.
