WHEN IS YOUR CHIRO PATIENT A NEW PATIENT?
If you saw your pre-accident patient within 3 years of the accident, you must use CPT Code 99213 or 99214 for 90% of moderate to severe accident cases. Otherwise, if it's a real "new" patient you would use CPT Code 99203-99204.

Susan, 29 was driving her 2001 BMW sedan in Orange. While her car was stopped waiting to turn left into a driveway, her car was rear-ended by a Cadillac Escalade SUV.
Defendant admitted liability but claimed care and treatment was grossly exaggerated.
Susan claimed she experienced severe pain in her neck, upper-back and right arm. She was diagnosed with bulging cervical discs, bulging thoracic discs, annular tears and a dislocated biceps tendon. Susan was referred by her DC for facet and epidural injections.
Total medical bills were $37,584 + Loss of Earnings. The case resolved at $97,500.

Zurich Insurance starts using robots to decide personal injury claims
|

Tom de Swaan bragged to Reuters that Zurich recently introduced Artificial Intelligence into deciding personal injury claims. He claimed it cut their "processing" time from hours to seconds. Moreover, he claimed it "saves 40,000 work hours. We absolutely plan to expand the use of this type of AI [artificial intelligence]."
"Accuracy has improved. Each new claim leads to further development and improvements, "says de Swaan.
Japanese insurer Fukoku Mutual began implementing AI in January replacing 34 staff members in a move that would save 1.3 million a year.

This is the latest feature of Colossus. Fewer adjusters to negotiate with and more robots to "discusst" key issues with.
Such "negotiations" will be fruitless. Soon, insurers will want to hire robotic defense attorneys---although many defense attorneys already act like automatons.
