Early on March 15, Stacey, driving on a highway in Kern County, made a left turn when she was T-Boned by defendant. Stacey lost consciousness for 15 minutes. Left turn cases are usually bad liability. But the defendant was driving to the right of the double parallel solid yellow lines.
Initially no one anticipated the extend of Stacey’s injuries.
Stacey saw her chiropractor. She initially complained of pain to her head, neck, shoulders, back , arms and legs. Her doctor immediately recognized she was also suffering a serious Traumatic Brain Injury [TBI].
After careful chiropractic care, Stacey was referred to specialists and a year later received C4/C5 epidurals. She continued with chiropractic care and some acupuncture. Surgery was recommended. After long term suffering, she had a anterior cervical spine discectomy which resolved 80% of her symptoms. She returned to chiropractic therapy post-surgery.
Her TBI was treated with new protocols for restoring speech and memory.
Stacey vs. Murillo was resolved for $2,993.931.
