Early Symptoms Often Predict Future Outcome
Chiropractic and medical experts maintain that documenting key early symptoms are crucial to build a strong credible case.

Examples of proving up early symptoms are:
  • Bleeding, cuts or lacerations
  • Immediate sharp pain
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Swelling of tissue
  • Disorientation
  • Bruising
  • Ringing in the ears
  • Instability
  • Antalgic gait
Means to prove these symptoms are:
  • Notations of pain in police report
  • Ambulance report
  • CRUCIAL: ER records
  • First history by treating doctor
Many potentially large recoveries are lost without checking these fundamentals.

Insurers Instruct Adjusters to Select Final Prognosis Codes that Lower Settlements

Colossus bases the prognosis on the degree of "Reasonable Medical Probability" [RMP] Colossus does not recognize terms as: Good, Fair, Guarded, Clinically Unstable.

However, if the medical records show the degree of RMP is greater than 51% then the prognosis would have to lead to a higher recommended settlement value.

WHAT CAN BE DONE:
  • Assign a prognosis to each INDIVIDUAL body part involved--NOT an overall prognosis
  • Establish which of the diagnoses' meets the 51% RMP requirement of need for future care.
  • Place the injury types in the applicable "Injury Severity Grade" category 1-5 and assign its future care requirement according to the care requirements for that grade injury.
