Insurers Instruct Adjusters to Select Final Prognosis Codes that Lower Settlements
Colossus bases the prognosis on the degree of "Reasonable Medical Probability" [RMP] Colossus does not recognize terms as: Good, Fair, Guarded, Clinically Unstable.
However, if the medical records show the degree of RMP is greater than 51% then the prognosis would have to lead to a higher recommended settlement value.
WHAT CAN BE DONE:
Assign a prognosis to each INDIVIDUAL body part involved--NOT an overall prognosis
Establish which of the diagnoses' meets the 51% RMP requirement of need for future care.
Place the injury types in the applicable "Injury Severity Grade" category 1-5 and assign its future care requirement according to the care requirements for that grade injury.
